Shayn Astrology began at 5:10am on June 28, 2005 in Boulder, Colorado. 

Most of the friendly planets are strong and making good aspects. No harm is done by the challenging planets of Rahu and Ketu. The beneficial Venus subperiod begins the start of the new venture.

Saturn, Venus, and Mercury are beneficial planets and conjoin the Most Effective Point (MEP) of the second house bringing general good fortune, wisdom, and peace of mind to status. The second house lord, Moon, lands on the MEP of the tenth house linking status with occupation. Jupiter and Mars aspect each other indicating beneficial friendships with others. The planet of new ventures, Sun, is strong and placed in the first house representing business.

Shayn Smith offers over 50 years experience in astrology. During the 1970s, he hosted and guested on astrological radio shows in Buffalo, New York.

Currently, Shayn practices Vedic and Western astrology in Broomfield, Colorado. 

He studied with the late Professor VK Choudhry of Gurgaon, India, developer of Systems' Approach to Vedic Astrology. He was conferred the honorary titles of Jyotish Kovid (learned astrologer) and Jyotish Visharad (experienced astrologer) from the Systems' Institute of Hindu Astrology, India.

Shayn serves as a faculty member of the International Institute of Predictive Astrology and is President of the IIPA Colorado chapter.

He taught Vedic and Western astrology classes through the Boulder Lifelong Learning program.

Shayn has a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology and has taught at several colleges. He is Past-President of the Colorado Counseling Association.
